CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for attending class and receiving credit:

  • Prior to taking the class, participants must show valid state-issued identification and your current state-issued electrician/contractor license. A current driver’s license is an example of valid ID.

  • Attendees must sign an attendance sheet to receive credit

  • Payment for each class must be received before taking the class.Acceptable forms of payment are credit cards, checks and cash.

  • Class size is limited.Pre-registration online, email or fax is the preferred method to reserve your spot.Walk-ins will be accepted only if there is room the day of the training.

  • Training materials will be provided but it is advisable to bring the following:

  • A copy of the current National Electric Code

  • A copy of the latest version NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace

  • A small calculator (optional)

  • The instructor will bring spare books that can be borrowed during the training.These books must be returned at the end of the session

  • Attendees are required to physically be present to obtain credit.Attendees must be present for 50 minutes out of every hour to obtain credit. Short breaks will be given throughout the training.

Other important information:

  • Snacks and Lunch will be provided.Lunch will be provided for those attending the 8-hour sessions

  • Since the training will take place in hotel conference rooms, it may be difficult to control the temperature.It may be advisable to bring a small jacket or sweater just in case it is too cold.

  • Please be respectful of hotel policies.

    • Some hotels do not want non-patrons eating the breakfasts provided to overnight patrons.

    • Be respectful to hotel staff and patrons

    • Park in designated areas

  • Please be considerate of others taking the class:

    • Silence cell phones and take necessary calls outside of the classroom

    • Please don’t take pictures or video during the training session

    • Please keep private discussions to a minimum during the training

    • Please do not wear offensive or politically-motivated clothing.We want to make this an enjoyable learning environment for everyone

    • Please refrain from using offensive language during the session

    • Please don’t bring children, spouses, partners or others who are not receiving training to the classrooms

    • Laptops and tablets are ok for taking notes or following texts, but please refrain from browsing the internet, answering emails, using social media or other non-training related activities during class time.
